€ 39.900,00This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Getting your hands on an ultimate collectable! A Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom 1973 Iron Cross James Hetfield Prototype #2. Built by Gibson Custom Shop with the idea to make a run of guitars as a tribute to James his 1973 Les Paul Custom.
Only 2 of these were built and In the end there was some discussion between Gibson and James and the project didn't happen and James went to ESP where he had multiple artist models already and they got the assignment to make Iron Cross models. But since his original Iron Cross is an 1973 Gibson it makes this prototype extra special.
The specs are:
long neck tenon like historic Gibsons
neck volute like 70's LP's have
EMG 60 and 81 pickups dated 2006, but with gold aged Gibson PAF covers on it to make it look like Gibson pickups
The iron cross has the handwriten text '' Proto piece to the 1973'' written on it
James Hetfield Prototype written on the back of the headstock with black pen
The Gibson Custom Shop Certificate is included aswell as a set of used strings, extra strap pin, custom shop tag and case.
The guitar has aging from Gibson and playwear on it, but i dont have proof it was actually played or owned by James.
The guitar has a very comfortable medium size c neck, sounds amazing, even unplugged it's very loud and resonant. The body has selected wood for weight and resonance as the weight is 4,2kg which is perfect for a LP Custom.
