The 2017 Gibson Memphis 1958 ES-335 Historic VOS reissue recreates Gibson's landmark thinline semi-hollow guitar from its inaugural year.
Built at the former Gibson Memphis facility before operations were consolidated to Nashville, this model features vintage-accurate construction, historical appointments, and period-correct electronics. Good condition, the finish is already starting to show some checking like on real vintage guitars.
Key Vintage Specifications & Features

-
Neck Profile: Solid mahogany set neck with a period-correct 1958 Rounded "C" profile (substantially chunkier and fuller in the hand compared to '60s slim profiles).
-
Fingerboard & Nut: Dark Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid Dot inlays and a nylon nut.
-
Pickups: Unpotted Gibson MHS (Memphis Historic Spec) Humbuckers with Alnico magnets. Designed to mirror original 1950s PAFs, delivering dynamic midrange clarity, warm lows, and sweet high-end articulation.

-
