"The 2019 Gibson Les Paul Classic marries early-'60s visual swagger with modern, multi-functional tonal performance. Cloaked in the timeless Goldtop finish, it features a traditional tonewood construction of a solid mahogany back paired with a plain maple top, utilizing Gibson’s 9-hole traditional weight relief to balance long-gig comfort with historic sustain. The fast, comfortable mahogany neck features a SlimTaper profile and a bound rosewood fingerboard that has been precision Plek’d for perfect fret leveling and action right out of the box.

Tonally, this powerhouse is driven by an uncovered set of Burstbucker '61R and '61T zebra humbuckers. These open-coil PAF-style pickups deliver an extra injection of punch, midrange muscle, and sweet highs.

What looks like a vintage layout is actually a highly modified tonal matrix: all four control knobs are push-pull switches. The dual volume pots activate independent coil-tapping for crisp single-coil tones, while the tone pots activate phase reversal (giving you that hollow, Peter Green-inspired 'out-of-phase' honk) and a pure bypass circuit that routes the bridge pickup directly to the jack, bypassing the volume and tone networks for maximum raw output and bite."
