The Gibson Gibson Custom Jeff Beck YardBurst 1959 Les Paul Standard is a stunning tribute to one of the most legendary Les Pauls in rock history. Inspired by the original 1959 Les Paul Standard used by Jeff Beck during his Yardbirds years, this Custom Shop recreation captures the look, feel and tone of the iconic “YardBurst” in incredible detail. Only 130 of these guitars were handmade by the expert luthiers at the Gibson Custom Shop and aged by the Murphy Lab to match the original guitar as it appeared in the mid-60s. 

This model features a lightweight one-piece mahogany body with a beautifully figured maple top, finished in an aged Dark Cherry Sunburst Murphy Lab nitrocellulose lacquer. The mahogany neck has a comfortable 50s Rounded Medium C profile and an Indian rosewood fretboard with medium jumbo frets and aged trapezoid inlays.

Tonally this guitar is everything you would expect from a top-tier ’59 Les Paul: loud and resonant acoustically, with endless sustain, rich mids and an open dynamic response. The Custombucker pickups deliver warm vintage PAF tones with clarity, bite and exceptional touch sensitivity. Whether clean or overdriven, the guitar has that unmistakable creamy late-50s Les Paul sound Jeff Beck made famous.

Other vintage-correct details include historically accurate hardware, CTS pots, paper-in-oil capacitors and an aged Lifton case with exclusive case candy. More than just a collectible, this is an exceptional player’s guitar with soul, feel and outstanding craftsmanship.
