This is a pretty special Gibson Les Paul Standard 1958, because it has a Flametop. Usually 58's have a plaintop. This is from a run in 2016 with a tobacco burst flametop. Beautiful guitar with papers and original case. The weight is 4,1kg.
This model is a high-end re-creation of the original 1958 Les Paul Standard. It features premium tonewoods and historic-accurate construction methods. The body is solid mahogany with a two-piece flamed maple top. The neck is also mahogany, fitted with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer with a VOS (“Vintage Original Spec”) treatment, meaning it’s lightly aged and buffed to a gently worn appearance rather than a high gloss new look.
The neck profile is the chunky ’50s “C” style, giving a full, comfortable feel. Frets are narrow-tall (historic style) and are Plek-machine leveled for enhanced playability. Electronics are true to form: two Custombucker (unpotted) deliver rich, vintage-style tones with clarity and resonance. Hardware includes vintage-style Kluson tuners, an ABR-1 bridge with a lightweight aluminum stop tailpiece, and other historically correct appointments throughout.
The guitar is in very good condition, just some light finishwear.
