The 2025 Fender Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster Relic is a meticulously crafted recreation of one of Fender’s most iconic early instruments. Built by the Fender Custom Shop, it captures the look, feel, and sound of a true early-1950s “blackguard” Telecaster, complete with period-correct materials, vintage specifications, and a masterfully aged Relic finish.

The body is made from lightweight ash, featuring a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that has been expertly relic’d to replicate decades of natural wear. The quartersawn maple neck has a classic early-’50s U-shape profile, offering a substantial vintage feel while remaining comfortable and responsive. The fingerboard radius and fret choice retain the authentic early-Fender character, giving the guitar the unmistakable feel of a genuine 1951 instrument.

Custom Shop hand-wound pickups deliver the signature Nocaster tone: bright, cutting bridge twang with tight low end, and a warm, rounded neck position ideal for blues, country, and vintage rock. The pickup set is wired to traditional Telecaster circuitry, preserving the clarity, dynamics, and touch sensitivity that made the original model legendary.

Hardware includes vintage-style tuning machines, period-correct brass saddles, and a black phenolic pickguard, all aged to match the Relic finish. Each component is selected and finished to reflect the character of a true early-’50s workhorse guitar.

This 2025 Nocaster Relic honors the legacy of Fender’s earliest electric instruments while offering the craftsmanship, reliability, and precision that define the modern Custom Shop.
