This is a Limited Edition Fender Custom Shop 1955 Dual-Mag Stratocaster with flamed maple neck. A high-end Custom Shop Stratocaster inspired by a 1955 model with a “Soft V” neck profile, but updated with modern features. The main highlight is the special Dual-Mag pickups. Excellent condition with COA, accesoires and case.
Key Specifications
-
Body: usually lightweight ash or alder, sometimes roasted for extra resonance.
-
Neck: maple, with a mid-’50s style “Soft V” profile.
-
Fingerboard radius: compound 7.25″ to 9.5″ – vintage feel in the lower register, flatter and easier for bends higher up.
-
Frets: 21, narrow-tall (6105 style).
-
Nut: bone, about 42 mm (1.65″) wide.
-
Pickups: hand-wound Dual-Mag single-coils (sometimes Dual-Mag II). They use Alnico-5 magnets under the low strings (for tighter lows) and Alnico-2 beveled magnets under the high B and E strings (for smoother highs). The middle pickup is reverse-wound, reverse-polarity for hum-cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
-
Electronics: 5-way switch, plus a “blender” control that lets you mix the neck pickup into bridge settings. Some versions also include the Greasebucket tone circuit.
-
Hardware: vintage-style synchronized tremolo and tuners.
-
Finish: nitrocellulose lacquer
Why it’s special
-
The Dual-Mag design balances string response: punchy lows and sweet highs.
-
Blender control expands tonal range beyond a typical Strat (e.g. neck + bridge together).
-
Compound radius gives both vintage chord feel and modern soloing comfort.
-
Premium Custom Shop craftsmanship and carefully selected woods.
